USA Cricket Marks Successful Inaugural Under-15 National Championships – SportsEvents Magazine

PRAIRIE VIEW, Tex.—USA Cricket thanks everyone involved with the inaugural Under-15 National Championships as the West Zone were crowned champions after a fantastic 12-game final completed at the Prairie View Cricket Complex in Texas. The competition saw high scoring matches and plenty of superb team and individual performances.

USA Cricket would like to thank everyone involved for the successful inaugural Under-15 National Championships which concluded in Texas on Sunday with the West Zone earning a hard-fought victory over the South Zone to be crowned as the first Under-15 National Champions. In total there were 12 matches over four days between the six teams involving 90 young cricketers from across America.

On the ground there were over 4000 runs scored, nearly 200 wickets taken and nearly 100 catches held in a tournament that was hotly contested by all six teams with the wickets and facilities on offer at the Prairie View Cricket Complex helping the overall experience of a wonderful tournament for the development of these young cricketers.

The champions were crowned at a post-tournament ceremony on Sunday where USA Cricket had the pleasure of welcoming Prairie View City Mayor, Ronald Leverett as a guest of honor along with representatives of all tournament sponsors with CriticalRiver as title sponsor, Four Oaks Insurance as Team Uniform Sponsors and the North America Telugu Association (NATA) as Performance Award Sponsors.

Triggers Colts Cricket League (TCCL) has also been integral to the success of the tournament with the amount of help they have provided. TCCL is a local youth cricket league in Houston, Texas and with a band of ardent Youth Cricket volunteers and supporters, they have admirably contributed their time, resources and most importantly their presence during the tournament to support many aspects of the tournament . Audio-visual, photographic, live-streaming and presentation support, particularly on the day of the finals, plus a huge number of parents who volunteered for catering and logistical support. USA Cricket would like to thank Surya Saladi and the entire TCCL team for their help over the past few weeks.
