Jio Cinema struggled with a heavy load during the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony
Compiling information from several user tweets, Jio Cinema did not provide a pleasant viewing experience of the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony on November 20, 2022. Apparently, the streaming service failed to handle the audience gained while streaming the ceremony opening, which caused the live stream to be delayed. Disappointed fans shot videos and uploaded them to Twitter, confirming that the platform was struggling to deliver a stable video feed.

Netizens were smart enough to figure out that the problem existed with the streaming service as they conducted speed tests to check if it was their internet connection that was causing the problem.
After many users started facing the issue and reported it via Twitter, Jio Cinema acknowledged the problem. The platform said, “We are continuously working to provide you with a great experience. Please update your app to the latest version to enjoy #FIFAWorldCupQatar2022. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
However, according to reports released before midnight on November 20, 2022, viewers have not seen any improvement in the live stream. However, some users were able to view the FIFA World Cup without any problems through the app. Alternatively, FIFA fans can watch the live stream on Sports18 and Sports18 HD TV channels in India.
