The wonderful life of NBA 3-point king Steph Curry

Curry earned approximately $302.8 million over his 14-year NBA career.

Curry made up for those underpaid years. He is currently playing with a four-year, $215 million extension that will pay him $59 million in 2025-26. He became the first NBA player to sign consecutive $200 million deals.

Perhaps Curry was destined for stardom. His father, Dell, was an NBA player. Steph went to games with Dell, shot the field, and even played against other NBA players.

Sportico listed Curry as the 10th highest-paid athlete of 2022, estimating he earned $40 million off the field.

Curry’s deal with Under Armor was also a steal, reportedly paying him around $4 million a year. He is now reportedly working on a lifetime deal that is said to be worth over $1 billion. He also now has an ownership stake in the business.

And it has a bunch of other confirmations as well. Curry has starred in commercials for CarMax, Subway, Apple, State Farm, Brita, Degree, Rakuten and others.

Curry was making endorsements from an early age. As a child, he starred in a Burger King commercial with his father.

He started SC30 to manage his brand partnerships and investments. The company’s LinkedIn page says it has 16 employees.

Not all of Curry’s investments paid off. He got an ownership stake in FTX, which recently filed for bankruptcy. Curry is one of several athletes the Texas State Securities Board is investigating for securities violations.

Curry’s wife Ayesha also became a business mogul. She has published cookbooks, opened a pop-up restaurant and appeared on cooking shows.

Ayesha and Stephen’s little sister Sydel also have their own wine label, Domaine Curry. A bottle of their 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is listed for $128 on Vivino.
